  • Ford Foundation Fellowship Program — Dissertation
  • Ford Foundation Fellowship Program — Predoctoral
  • Fulbright U.S. Student Program Fellowships (Research Awards Only)
  • Fulbright-Hays DDRA (minimum duration 9 mos.)
  • NASA Graduate Research Fellowships
  • National Academies Ford Fellowships
  • National Academy of Education/Spencer Dissertation Fellows
  • National Defense Science & Engineering Grad Fellowships (NDSEG)
  • NIH Kirschstein Individual Predoctoral NRSA (F30, F31, and associated Diversity/Disability Programs)
  • NSF Graduate Research Fellowships (NSF-GRFP)
  • Smithsonian Institution Fellowship Program for Graduate Study
  • Smithsonian Institution Fellowship Program for Predoctoral Study

If you applied for a fellowship that does not appear on this list but still meets the criteria outlined in the “Eligibility” tab, you can (and should) still apply for NFIP funds.  The NFIP application includes space to provide documentation that the external fellowship for which you applied meets the program’s eligibility criteria.
